Golf Near Perdido Key

Lost Key Golf Club

The closest course to Perdido Key and the one most guests ask about. Lost Key is a par 71 championship layout redesigned by the Arnold Palmer Design Group in 2006, framed by the natural wetlands and coastal habitat of Perdido Key. It was the first course in Florida to earn Audubon International Silver Signature Sanctuary certification — the natural areas between fairways are genuinely protected, and you'll see osprey and herons on the course regularly.

The course plays 6,801 yards from the tips with a slope rating of 144, but five sets of tees make it accessible for all skill levels. The clubhouse has a full pro shop, locker rooms, and a restaurant with outdoor seating and views over the fairways. Tee times can be booked directly at lostkeygolf.com.

Other Ways to Stay Active

Cycling

The paved paths along the Gulf Islands National Seashore are good for cycling, particularly the stretch toward Fort Pickens. Several rental shops on the beach offer bikes by the hour or day. The Visit Pensacola biking guide lists current rental options and recommended routes.

Tennis and Pickleball

Public courts are available at Pensacola Beach and in several Pensacola city parks. Check with your rental property or the Escambia County Parks department for the nearest courts to your LunaSol home.

Practical Tips

  • Book tee times early: Lost Key fills up on weekends, especially in spring and fall when the weather is ideal. Book directly at lostkeygolf.com.
  • Best months for golf: October through April. Summer rounds are possible but early morning tee times are essential to beat the heat and afternoon storms.
  • What to bring: Non-metal spikes are required at most courses. Sunscreen, a hat, and plenty of water are non-negotiable in the Florida heat.
  • A.C. Read Golf Course is on Naval Air Station Pensacola and requires a valid military ID or base visitor pass — not a general visitor option, but worth knowing if you have base access.
