Perdido Key, Florida
Fifteen miles of undeveloped barrier island. Sugar-white sand, emerald water, and the Flora-Bama on the state line. This is the quieter side of the Gulf Coast.
The Key That Kept Its Quiet
Perdido Key sits at the western edge of Florida, where the state line runs straight through the Gulf. It's less developed than Pensacola Beach to the east, and that's the point. The National Seashore protects most of the island's undeveloped dunes. Perdido Key State Park holds one of the last stretches of pristine barrier island on the Gulf Coast.
The water here is clear and warm from May through October. The sand is fine and white. Dolphins work the passes in the morning. At night, the Flora-Bama has live music on five stages and a Bushwacker that's been made the same way since 1964.
It's the kind of place people come back to every year, not because it's flashy, but because it isn't.

WHY PERDIDO KEY
A different pace on the Gulf
Miles of protected shore
Perdido Key State Park and the Gulf Islands National Seashore keep most of the island undeveloped. The beaches here are wide, uncrowded, and worth the drive.
Emerald water, year-round warmth
The Gulf stays swimmable from May through October. Kayak the bayous in the morning, paddle the open Gulf in the afternoon, and watch dolphins from the dock at dusk.

The Flora-Bama, since 1964
Live music on five stages, the original Bushwacker, and an oyster bar on the Alabama-Florida state line. It's a Gulf Coast institution, five minutes from most of our homes.
Real Gulf Coast seafood
Fisherman's Corner, The Jellyfish, and the Flora-Bama Yacht Club all serve fresh Gulf catch within a short drive.
Quiet, not remote
Perdido Key is 30 minutes from downtown Pensacola and 15 minutes from Pensacola Beach. You get the peace of a less-developed island without giving up access to the city.
Life on the Key
White sand, warm water, and a pace that slows you down.

The stay was beautiful given the circumstances! We did end up checking in a day late due to the hurricane and it was just fine. We did not have Wi-Fi but that is not on LunaSol they were so responsive and helpful throughout the whole stay and made sure we were taken care of the best they could. I appreciate lunasol and would highly recommend them, I would gladly stay again at a property under better circumstances hopefully!

We really enjoyed our stay despite it being cut short by the incoming hurricane. The layout of the house and everything that was made available to us during our stay was amazing. Everything was so clean and immediately felt like our home away from home. Quick drive to the beach, restaurants, and grocery stores. When we ended up having to leave due to mandatory evacuations, we received a refund for the remaining dates of our reservation without issue. If/when we vacation in this area again, we would absolutely love to have the opportunity to rent this location again. 100% recommend this place to anyone looking for a comfy, convenient spot to spend your vacation.
